Waits Hall houses 210
women, many of whom are art, music and drama majors due to
the close proximity of Ed Landreth Hall, the performing arts
building. The dormitory is named in honor of Edward McShane
Waits, during whose presidency faculty tenure was instituted,
the School of Business established, Amon Carter Stadium was
built, and TCU became a member of the Southwest Conference.
