Colby Hall houses approximately
350 women, 90% of whom are freshman. Colby women are known
for closeness as they experience the newness of college life
together. The dormitory is named in honor of Dean Colby D.
Hall, who helped shape the university as dean of both the
University and Brite Divinity School.
