Amon Carter Stadium
Amon G. Carter Stadium seats 46,083. Originally built in 1930 with a capacity around 10,000, the stadium was enlarged in 1947, and the upper deck was added in 1956. The field has been home turf of football legends like Slingin’ Sammy Baugh, Davey O’Brien, Jim Swink and Bob Lilly and recent stars like LaDainian Tomlinson. The stadium is named for Amon Carter, legendary publisher of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and strong supporter of TCU athletics.
